"Polys is a user-friendly online voting system that makes elections easy to run and manage – and it cuts costs. The results could be easily shared with members as soon as the election closed. Several members were impressed by how professionally the election was run on such a platform. The security and transparency aspects of Polys make it possible for organizations to run fair and unbiased elections."

Inability to hold traditional vote

Geographically scattered membership makes it difficult to leverage traditional voting methods using paper ballots and in-person voting. For this reason, members of the Board of Directors had previously been selected exclusively by nominations from each country.

Online voting for APSS Board Members

Secure user-friendly features as well as complimentary licenses helped tip the balance in favor of using the Polys platform for the first APSS Board Members Election. The good standing members of the APSS from Australia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, the Philippines, and China voted for their respective Board Members to represent their Chapter (country). Voting lasted eight days and was a positive experience.

Approximately 60-80 man-hours saved

Overall, 11 candidates were nominated and 97 voters participated in the election. A lot of man-hours were saved – according to the organizers, it amounted to 60-80 hours.
